2009 Captain: Bhrett Morgan
The netball girls experienced an early and motivating start to the 2009 season by playing a match against a touring side from St Faith’s School in Cambridge, UK. While the girls were unable to get the better of their more experienced opponents, they gave of their best and presented the spectators with an exciting game.
The necessary skills, footwork and game plan of the players developed tremendously throughout the season and the girls enjoyed some challenging yet very exciting games. We had the opportunity of playing against Erica, Brylin and the St George’s College netball teams. Although we did not win all our matches, most of the scores were close.
A special word of thanks must go to Mrs van Wyk for coaching the girls so well. Her encouragement, enthusiasm and love for the game created an amazingly good team spirit among the girls.
Netball is being introduced as an optional winter sport in Grade 3 and 4 and this will hopefully help in making netball a more competitive sport in 2010.

2011 Report
In spite of our netball season being very short due to the Soccer World Cup, the girls were able to play a few friendly and challenging matches, the highlight being a very exciting and competitive game played against the “old girls” of St George’s. The enthusiasm, commitment and good team spirit displayed by the girls is most rewarding.
The improvement in footwork and ball handling skills of the junior netball players is most encouraging. There are a number of promising players and I look forward to seeing them develop into good team players in the future.
A special word of thanks goes to Mrs van Wyk for assisting with the coaching and to Jacolene Slabber for being an outstanding captain.
